Not just one or the other, so it is important to have both convictions. He takes the study of God seriously in his life and the sin in his life seriously as well! It is ever before him; that is the message of the Puritans and other great theologians. I recall the Apostle Paul stating that he was the CHIEF of sinners, his sin was ever before him.
