This is great!

On a more serious note I wish Democrats would understand that their lack of morals are the biggest problem.

As well as the Republicans...

I knew that was coming from a democrate.

Hey we need to send this to Shawn Hanity or Rush Limbaugh. I can't believe that no one has picked up on this.

Ryan--

Do you think that Republicans are more moral than Democrats?

Yes I think for the most part the Republican party has better morals, but there are some out there that are pretty moderate to liberal.

Do you see Democrates as more Liberal or more conservative than Republicans in the area of morals, like abortion, homosexuality, etc.

The answer depends to which standard one is determining "liberal" and "conservative." In terms of American historical "morality," I would say that the common labels are more or less accurate. However, in terms of a Christian morality and worldview, I think both parties are equally on the end of whichever label is the most perjorative.

In relation to the examples you have raised (abortion, homosexuality), both have an absolutely horrible morality. Both categories are for both parties simply means to ends; the Democratic party does not care about the women for whose "rights" it supposedly fights, nad the Rebublican party does not really oppose abortion on a moral level. For each party, these categories are merely the side they have chosen because they feel that it is polictically expedient at the time. When popular opinion shifts, the shift in the "moral issues" of both these parties will occur in precise proportion.

Both parties are completely shortsighted in the way in which they polarize the moral issues at hand. Abortion, contra the Democrats, is a much more complicated moral issue than just the rights of a mother; contra the Rebublicans, it is also more complicated than the death of a fetus. In the same way, homosexual marriage, contra the Democrats, is more complicated than "equal rights"; and contra the Republicans, it is more complicated than the "preservation" of the family.

As I said before, these issues for these parties are not bedrock fundamentals upon which the party ideology is built (even though they have been successful in manipulating people to think that). Rather, they are politically expedient issues that are utilized to their full extent, only to be tossed aside when more promising hegemonies are presented. The very fact that these moral issues are so polarized between the parties should make this abundantly clear.

It seems the most logical answer is for people to vote their convictions from the Bible.

Which would seem to require that they not vote at all.

That could be the case.

I see a problem when a person is a democrat or republican or whatever party and they will only vote according to their party that they are a member of.
